Dr. Bozzo received his PhD from Marquette University in 2018. He works in applied ethics (especially the abortion debate), the philosophy of religion, and the philosophy of David Hume.<\/p>\n<h6><strong>Teaching and Learning Philosophy<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>I have found that the best class periods are ones in which I&#8217;m excited about the material and have something original to say about it. This helps to peak students&#8217; interest and get them engaged. In addition, I strive to make my courses as discussion-oriented as possible (although lecture has its place).<\/p>\n<p>My ultimate goal is to have students find the material interesting, to intentionally and rigorously engage with it, to communicate their ideas to others, and to come away with a richer understanding and excitement about it. The ideas we discuss in the classes I teach are important and interesting, and I want students to\u00a0feel the same about them.
