Visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/uw-policies\/uw-system-administrative-policies\/vacation-paid-leave-banks-and-vacation-cash-payouts-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UW System Administrative Policy 1210 (formerly BN 1) Vacation, Paid Leave Banks, and Vacation Cash Payouts<\/a>, section 6.E.I. to review the years of service requirements and assess payout options.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder the leave schedule for <em>University Staff<\/em>, including craft workers and trades employees, transitioned to a fiscal year schedule from a calendar year schedule starting in January 2025. This means that <em>University Staff <\/em>bank or request a leave payout in July. <em>The deadline to bank or request a payout of unused vacation is September 30, 2025.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>When Can I Bank My Vacation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vacation and carryover balance hours that are eligible to be banked can be banked now through September 30, 2026 by signing into <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__http:\/myworkday.wisconsin.edu\/__;!!Mak6IKo!OEz2_D9sqfzbC2A6lI8XSDuXD63AM6HdK772ocSyUBWiuq-2l0FxXZZXepnvV5XCe8CcncZ9DQs--vgUsvryzfZG1wtvZfS6fIwRbEg$\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Workday<\/a>. Review\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kb.wisconsin.edu\/workday\/internal\/page.php?id=161012&amp;rd=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manage Time Off, No Leave Taken, and Banked Leave Requests (KB 161012)<\/a> for instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How Much Can I Bank into my Paid Leave Bank?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is no limit to the total number of hours (balance) that can be retained in your Banked Leave account. Once vacation is banked the hours do not expire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Leave Can Be Banked?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your unused vacation hours as outlined below can be banked.
