{"id":36989,"date":"2026-06-02T08:00:42","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T13:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/ohrwd\/?p=36989"},"modified":"2026-06-02T19:10:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T00:10:44","slug":"submit-leave-reports-by-june-30-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/ohrwd\/blog\/2026\/06\/02\/submit-leave-reports-by-june-30-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Submit Leave Reports by June 30, 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the end of year approaches, all leave-eligible faculty, academic staff, limited appointees, and university staff (FLSA exempt) employees are reminded of the requirement to submit a monthly leave report even if no leave was used.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Report leave on or before the day leave is taken.<\/li>\n<li>If no leave is used during the month, enter<em> \u201cNo Leave Taken\u201d <\/em>by the end of the month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>All missing leave reports\u00a0<\/em>for fiscal year 2026 (July 1, 2025 \u2013 June 30, 2026) <em>are due by June 30, 2026<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Failure to submit leave reports will result in a\u00a0<em>permanent reduction to your sick leave balance<\/em>, excluding employees who are university staff. Even one missing leave report can reduce the amount of sick leave available for future use<\/p>\n<p>A reduction in sick leave hours may also lower the amount available for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/ohrwd\/benefits\/sick-leave-credit-conversion-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sick Leave Credit Conversion Program<\/a>, which helps pay for health insurance in retirement.<\/p>\n<p><b>How do I know if I have missing leave reports?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Employees with missing leave reports receive email reminders.
