The University of Wisconsin System's intention is\u00a0to foster respect for the needs of all parties impacted by the presence of children in the workplace. A University Personnel Policy is currently being developed around this topic so check back soon!<\/p>                <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n            <div class=\"panel panel-default \" id=\"panel_concealed-carry\">\n    <div class=\"panel-heading\" id=\"heading_concealed-carry\">\n        <h4 class=\"panel-title\"><button href=\"#concealed-carry\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" class=\"collapsed panel-link\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"concealed-carry\">Concealed Carry Policy<\/button><\/h4>    <\/div>\n    <div id=\"concealed-carry\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse\"  role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"heading_concealed-carry\" role=\"region\">\n        <div class=\"panel-body copy\">            \n            \n        <p>Based on <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2011\/related\/acts\/35.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2011 Wisconsin Act 35<\/a>, it is legal for licensed individuals to be armed with a concealed weapon. However, <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/code\/admin_code\/uws\/18\/10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter UWS 18.10(3)<\/a> prohibits a person from carrying, possessing, or using any dangerous weapon on university lands or in university buildings or facilities with certain exceptions. These resources serve to assist each UW System institution in meeting its responsibilities under Executive Order #54.<\/p><p>Because children come into contact with UW System through various programs and events, the UW System policy requires all employees to report child abuse and neglect if, in the course of employment, an employee observes or learns of such an incident.
