Confirm your TIAA election during open enrollment: September 27 – October 22, 2021 | Enrollment: New enrollment is not required. During Annual Benefits Enrollment (ABE), you will have the opportunity to confirm your current election and make changes. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to do so through MyUW Portal by reviewing the Account Balance: Your current account balance with TIAA will remain with TIAA. Note: TIAA offers both annuity products and mutual funds. For annuity products, you have an individual agreement with TIAA and balances in those funds will remain in those funds. All other TIAA investments are mutual funds. Unless you take action during the Investment Pre-selection Window to decide where your balance in TIAA mutual funds will be invested, your balance in these funds will be invested in an age-appropriate target date fund in the new investment line-up. Future Contributions: Your contributions will continue to go to TIAA to funds in the investment line-up, unless you make a change. Investment Pre-selection Window: Beginning November 1, 2021, you will be able to pre-select your investment elections for your account balance and future contributions. If you do not make pre-selections, future contributions and your mutual fund account balance will move to an age-appropriate target date fund. Investment selections for future contributions will be effective with contributions deducted from your January 13, 2022 paycheck. |

Terminated employees
Your current account balance with TIAA will remain with TIAA, unless you make a change. However, you may wish to select new investments during the Investment Pre-selection Window, starting November 1, 2021, or your mutual fund account balance will move to an age-appropriate target date fund. Your account balance in TIAA Annuity products will remain.
Beneficiary Designations: Your beneficiary election(s) will automatically transfer to your new account. We encourage you to take this time to review your beneficiary(ies) and make any necessary updates.
