The Total Compensation Estimator includes these main components.
Health Insurance Plan Definitions:
- HMO or Regional PPO: An HMO uses a network of doctors, clinics, hospitals in a specific geographic area. You are expected to receive services within the network when enrolled in an HMO. A regional PPO provides the same level of benefits as the HMO when benefits are received in-network. Coverage is also available out-of-network at a higher out-of-pocket cost. HMOs and Regional PPOs offer the lowest employee premiums.
- Nationwide PPO: A Nationwide PPO is available in every county and contains a nationwide network of doctors, clinics and hospitals. Coverage is also available out-of-network at a higher out-of-pocket cost. The plans with a nationwide network have the highest employee premiums.
