Health Insurance Plan Definitions:
- HMOs use a network of doctors, clinics, hospitals in a specific geographic area and you are expected to receive services within the network. Regional PPOs provide the same level of benefits as the HMOs when benefits are received in-network. Coverage is also available out-of-network at a higher out-of-pocket cost. All plans provide the same level of uniform dental benefits. HMOs and Regional PPOs offer the lowest employee premium.
- The Access Plan is a Nationwide PPO and is available in every county and has a nationwide provider network. Coverage is also available out-of-network at a higher out-of-pocket cost. The Access Plan has the highest employee premium.
