Insurance Benefits. The deadlines for 2026 late enrollment requests and rescinds are listed below. It is recommended that employees submit their late enrollment request or rescind their election as soon as an issue is discovered. They should not wait until the deadlines.<\/p><ul><li>Rescinds (for all plans listed below): December 31, 2025<\/li><li>Late Enrollment Requests:<ul><li>Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care and Dependent Day Care): January 31, 2026<\/li><li>Supplemental Insurance Plans (Dental, Vision, Accident): February 28, 2026<\/li><li>State Group Health Insurance (Uniform Dental, Health Opt-Out Incentive, Health Savings Account): April 15, 2026<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><p>Employees may submit a late enrollment request or rescind only if they were actively employed with the Universities of Wisconsin during the fall enrollment period.<\/p><p>Based on the volume of late enrollment requests received, a final decision can take up to 60 days from the date the late enrollment request is received in good order. Employee will be notified by UW-Shared Services, Service Operations directly when their late enrollment request has been approved or denied.
