Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) competes at the NCAA Division III level and consists of nine University of Wisconsin-System institutions.
Establishes policies and rules for governing the System, plans to meet future state needs for collegiate education, sets admission standards and policies, reviews and approves university budgets, and establishes the regulatory framework within which the individual units are allowed to operate with as great a degree of autonomy as possible.
The President has full executive responsibility for the operation and management of the University of Wisconsin System.
Responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the University of Wisconsin System institutions.
Provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value to, protect, and strengthen the management of the University of Wisconsin System and its colleges, universities, and extension.
Responsible for the conduct of all financial affairs of the University of Wisconsin System.
Advances the UW System’s mission through communications and stakeholder engagement.
Promotes and ensures academic quality in the University of Wisconsin System and to encourage the efficient use of resources to achieve that end.
Provides comprehensive legal services to the UW System comprehensive campuses and to UW Colleges and UW-Extension, including advice on a wide variety of legal matters.
