Unique brain injury treatment program returns to UW-Eau Claire<\/a><\/h5>\n

When Reginald Jones of Milwaukee suffered a head injury on board a freight vessel in June 2025, he says he did not really understand the extent of his injuries. Jones is one of a dozen individuals attending the second annual Brain Injury Intensive Comprehensive Treatment Program, or Brain In-Com, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He says he hopes to acquire knowledge and tools to continue recovering from and dealing with lingering effects of a late-treated concussion.<\/p>\n

Construction camp introduces young students to careers, degree paths<\/a><\/h5>\n

On a cloudy Tuesday morning, eight middle school Construction Pathways campers with UW-Stout Polytechnic\u2019s summer STEAM experience watched a crane lift an air conditioning unit onto the new Aspirus Clinic that is being built in Chippewa Falls.\u00a0The site tour, led by the Boldt Company, introduced the campers to different career opportunities in the construction industry, including project management, skilled trades, labor, engineering, safety, and more, as well as what being a\u202fconstruction management student at UW-Stout Polytechnic might be like.<\/p>\n

UW-River Falls professor part of gold medal-winning team at world\u2019s most famous flower show in London<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Often referred to as \u201cThe World Cup of Gardening,\u201d the Royal Horticultural Society\u2019s (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show in London is considered by many to be the most prestigious flower show in the world. This year, it drew celebrities and dignitaries as distinguished as the king and queen of England. University of Wisconsin-River Falls Assistant Professor of Biology Benjamin J. Crain was right in the action as a member of a gold-medal-winning international team.<\/p>\n
