SUMMARY:Math Initiative Community of Practice: 5 Practices for Orchestrating Discussion
DESCRIPTION:UW System math faculty and staff are invited to learn about or share their own experiences with select tools and strategies to support student success in mathematics through a discussion series supporting our mathematics Community of Practice during the fall semester. \nFor the Sept. 15 session\, Xianwei Van Harpen\, UW-Milwaukee\, will present on her use of the 5 Practices including tips and lessons learned. Jennifer Kosiak\, UW-La Crosse\, also will share her experience of using the 5 Practices. They look forward to engaging and learning from participants. \nThe Zoom link is the same as the previous sessions in this series and was shared by email Sept. 9 to participants of previous events\, including math department chairs\, with an invitation for them to share broadly. Registration is not required. \nWe are actively seeking topics and presenters for the spring semester CoP series. Please submit your ideas to Alice Pulvermacher at apulvermacher@uwsa.edu.
