DESCRIPTION:The Showoff/Showdown included brief presentations by UW System colleagues who participated in the Math Initiative June 2020 professional development workshops on active learning for equitable instruction and development of co-requisite math courses — or who later  “enrolled” in those Canvas courses. Presentations via the Canvas learning management system covered how participants have adapted important principles such as active learning\, building community and student engagement in the fall 2020 environment\, how that was received\, and what they learned that will impact whether or how they repeat that approach. \nDescriptions of each session in “Active Learning” and “Building Community” tracks are included in the presentation schedule. pdf\n The workshop was open to colleagues at all UW System institutions.
