SUMMARY:Office Hours: Active Learning in the Socially Distanced Face-to-Face Environment
DESCRIPTION:In response to several requests for additional support for fall semester course planning\, Math Initiative June workshop facilitators have identified themes for four weeks’ worth of Active Learning office hours. Each of these sessions will launch with a brief presentation or demonstration\, after which the remaining time will be dedicated to questions and discussion. \nThe first of the four focused office hour sessions will include a presentation on active learning in the socially distanced face-to-face environment. \nTo help shape the conversation\, facilitators created a discussion board corresponding to each of the themes to solicit your greatest concerns. They ask that you up-vote–by clicking “like” underneath–any previous posts that express worries that you share\, and that\, should you feel something is missing in the list\, you add a brief (one-sentence) description of the issue. (If you are an early contributor\, feel free to return after others have had a chance to respond!) \nOffice hours are conducted via Collaborate Ultra and accessible through enrollment in the Canvas Active Learning for Equitable Instruction course  (see office hours link on the home page of the course) or this direct link for those who already have enrolled. \n  \n
