They also provide information for employees of the UWs on policies that affect LGBTQ+ staff and faculty.<\/p>\n<p>This work is done through an intersectional and social justice lens. LGBTQ+ people have multiple identities that include race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, and dis\/ability status, which means that work for the inclusion of LGBTQ+ communities must also combat oppression in all of its interrelated forms (i.e., sexism, racism, classism, trans\/bi\/homophobia). The work done on UW campuses by staff and faculty that serve LGBTQ+ students helps to promote student retention, graduation, and academic success.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"cfct-module uwsa-callout\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"cfct-mod-content callout standard grey-bg\">\n    <h3 class=\"cfct-mod-title\">Annual P.B. Poorman Award<\/h3><p>The Universities of Wisconsin and the LGBTQ+ Inclusivity Initiative established the annual <strong>Dr. P.B.
