Grant Competition for Institutions of Higher Education in Wisconsin

    • The University of Wisconsin System administers the Wisconsin ESEA Title II Improving Teacher Quality Program. This was a competitive grants program for increasing student achievement in the arts, civics and government, economics, English, foreign languages, geography, history, mathematics, reading or language arts, and science, by improving the teaching and principal quality at the K-12 level in Wisconsin’s public and private schools.
    • When the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was signed into law in 2015, it did not include funding for the SAHE II-A, Improving Teacher Quality grant program. No new grants are available for the WEITQ.
