Encouraging Faculty and Staff to Utilize their Expertise and Apply their Scholarship to Support Economic Development in Wisconsin
UW System Administration, in collaboration with WiSys, is offering three research grant programs to UW faculty: the Applied Research Grant (ARG), the Applied Research-WiSys Technology Advancement Grant (AR-WiTAG), and the Prototype Development Fund (PDF).
ARG is offered as a 14-month program for all disciplines at all institutions.
AR-WiTAG is offered as a 14-month program in science and technology fields only and is not available for UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee researchers. However, Madison and Milwaukee faculty may collaborate on AR-WiTAG grant proposals submitted by other UW institutions.
PDF is offered as a one-year program to support research and development intended to advance the commercial potential of technologies, and is not available for UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee researchers.
ARG and AR-WiTag Proposal Process
- Required ARG and AR-WiTAG Intent to Submit Form
Complete the Intent to Submit Form that summarizes the proposal’s goals and the research plan. Due November 26, 2018 at 11:59pm.
- ARG and AR-WiTAG Full Proposal Materials
Click above for the materials needed to apply for the ARG and AR-WiTAG. Due January 28, 2019.
- Applicants must complete the Intent to Submit form on or before November 26, 2018 in order to be eligible to submit a full proposal.
- ARG and AR-WiTAG Final Reports
A final report is required for each grant program. A WiSys representative will provide additional information. Due September 30, 2020.
