The bill included the amendment offered by UW System to clarify how federal veteran benefits work with a student\u2019s financial aid package.<\/p>\n<p>The committee also <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/related\/records\/assembly\/colleges_and_universities\/1520295\">voted<\/a> to pass \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/proposals\/reg\/asm\/bill\/ab189\"><strong><em>AB 189<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>\u2013 Transfer of Courses <\/em><\/strong>with <a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/amendments\/ab189\/asa2_ab189\">Substitute Amendment 2<\/a>, which the authors consulted on with UW-System, in a 11-1 vote.<\/p>\n<p>The committee also <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/related\/records\/assembly\/colleges_and_universities\/1520300\">voted<\/a> to pass <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/proposals\/reg\/asm\/bill\/ab361\">AB 361<\/a>\u2013 Requirements for colleges when service members students are called into active duty<\/em><\/strong> in a 12-0 vote.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Assembly Committee on Colleges and Universities held an\u00a0Executive Session\u00a0on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 .
