The bills which relate to UW System were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/related\/proposals\/sb205\">SB 205<\/a>\u2013 credit transfers<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/proposals\/reg\/sen\/bill\/sb334\">SB 334<\/a>\u2013 requirements for active service members called into active duty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Written testimony for information only was submitted for both bills (see attachments below).<\/p>\n<p>The Senate Committee on Universities, Technical Colleges, Children and Families also held an <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/raw\/cid\/1515604\">Executive Session<\/a> on Wednesday, September 25. The bills which relate to UW System were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/related\/proposals\/sb117\">SB 117<\/a>\u2013 athlete agents act<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2019\/related\/proposals\/sb142\">SB 142<\/a>\u2013 tuition benefits for student veterans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>UW System worked with the authors of SB 142 on an amendment to clarify how federal veteran benefits work in relation to a student\u2019s financial aid package. The committee voted to approve the amendment.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Board of Regents Edmund Manydeeds III, Karen Walsh, and Olivia Woodmansee were confirmed by the Committee.
