The University of Wisconsin System maintains a wide range of ties with the executive and legislative branches of state and federal government. The primary function of the government relations office\u00a0is to interact with\u00a0state and federal government legislators, agency and other government officials, third party advocates, and key stakeholders to\u00a0keep them apprised of the UW System and Board of Regents\u2019 legislative policy and funding priorities.<\/p>\n

Government Relations works closely and cooperatively with legislative liaisons from the\u00a0UW System institutions and government relations advocates for peer universities nationwide.<\/p>\n

The UW System is also an active participant in the work of a number of national higher education associations such as AAU<\/a>, APLU<\/a>, AASCU<\/a>, CASE<\/a>, ACE<\/a> and AAC&U<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
