UW System’s Title and Title Compensation (TTC) effort, launched in 2017, began its life as a study, an enterprise-wide effort to review more than 1,800 job titles, as well as current employee compensation and benefits programs, and benchmark them with peer institutions. One of the effort’s primary goals was to identify/create a new job framework that would simplify and standardize job descriptions across UW System.

After more than a year of work, the TTC Study has recently evolved into the TTC Project, an effort that will incorporate the knowledge gained over the past year and move toward a holistic project plan. Currently, efforts are underway to create a carefully vetted new set of function-based standard job descriptions and map them to the newly created job framework. The goal of the TTC Project remains unchanged: Creating new title, compensation and benefits programs for UW System.
