Through expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and real-world campus scenarios, participants will examine First Amendment protections, academic freedom, campus speech policies, and how to navigate challenging questions about expression at public universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Date:<\/strong> Saturday, October 17, 2026<br><strong>Time:<\/strong> 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<br><strong>Location:<\/strong> UW-Eau Claire, Centennial Hall Room 1804<br>1698 Park Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who Can Apply?<\/strong><br>Full-time undergraduate students enrolled at <strong>any<\/strong> Universities of Wisconsin campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with peers from across the state, explore current issues related to free expression and academic freedom, and develop skills for thoughtful dialogue in a university setting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Registration Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participation is free!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Breakfast and lunch will be provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A participant stipend is available upon successful completion of the workshop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrollment is limited to 30 students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Students must apply through Eventbrite. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
