On the day of the visit, he packs water, puts on sturdy boots and prepares for ticks, mosquitoes and long hikes.<\/span><span hike, I\u2019ll try to visit each corner of the property,\u201d Kelly says. \u201cFor larger properties, I\u2019ll concentrate on places that haven\u2019t been visited for several years.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Along the way, Kelly documents his observations using GPS-located photos, especially in areas where concerns may need to be cliff faces, over hilltops and through forests.<\/span><span come home sweaty, dirty, and tired, with burrs and twigs clinging to my clothes \u2014 but after a nice bath, I can just savor the privilege of intimately getting to know someone else\u2019s exquisite data-contrast=\"auto\">To Kelly, conservation easements are a vital piece of the larger environmental puzzle.
