It was extremely motivating knowing someone had confidence in me and wanted to help support me financially through four years of college. Kristin is pictured back row, second from right.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Having additional time to study, participate in clubs and activities, and meet new people was hugely beneficial to St. Louis\u2019 college experience. It allowed her to excel in UWL\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"\/cba\/resources-for-students\/integrated-core-program\/\">Kwik Trip Integrated Core Program<\/a>, in which students take courses in core business functions (finance, management and marketing) and apply their skills to solve real-world problems for area businesses.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">After graduation, St. Louis will begin working at CliftonLarsonAllen, a public accounting firm, where she will focus on state and local government as part of the CLA Assurance team.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cBecause of everything UWL has offered me over the past 4.5 years,\u201d St. Louis says, \u201cI am confident that I will succeed in my professional career.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Helping students like St. Louis is important to Eric and Kirstin, who view education \u201cas the building block for so many other things in life.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Eric, \u201985, remembers the challenge of pursuing a degree in\u00a0<a href=\"\/academics\/finance\/\">finance<\/a>\u00a0from UWL while working full time to pay his way. It\u2019s a burden he hopes to relieve from current and future students.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cWe both came from small-town Wisconsin and families that didn\u2019t have much money,\u201d Eric says. \u201cWe worked really hard to pay our way through college, and now, we\u2019re really trying to focus on students who have that challenge. While UWL still offers a high-quality education, and the cost is reasonable, it\u2019s very difficult for someone today to pay their way through college working full time. By giving back, we wanted to help students come out of school without too much debt or too heavy of a burden.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Eric, retired CEO of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Springs Window Fashions<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, and Kirstin not only established a scholarship within the College of Business Administration \u2014 they also decided to fund scholarships within UWL\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"\/soe\/\">School of Education<\/a>.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Early Childhood Education Major Allison Schreurs, a future teacher set to graduate in spring 2025, says support from the Jungbluths and others created a strong financial foundation for her education.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cThe scholarship helped ease a lot of financial stressors for me,\u201d Schreurs says. \u201cI grew up in a lower-income family, and had worried ever since the beginning of high school how I would pay for college. This scholarship, along with others, has helped me pay for my bachelor\u2019s degree in early childhood education.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">By boosting tomorrow\u2019s educators, Eric and Kirstin hope they will create a ripple effect, with those educators going on to make a positive difference in the lives of countless students.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cJust the fact that we\u2019re making an impact not only for future teachers, but also for all the lives they\u2019ll touch throughout their careers, is really exciting for us,\u201d Kristin says. \u201cWe support teachers so they can support their students.
