UWM alum Paul Wellington and his sister, Nealita Nelson, made it to the finale of the fourth season of \u201cLEGO Masters,\u201d ending up third overall. The final episode aired Thursday on Fox.<\/p>\n

Wellington,\u00a0who was featured in a November UWM Report story<\/a>, earned his bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees in architecture from UWM\u2019s School of Architecture and Urban Planning. He\u2019s now a social media specialist for the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really proud of how far I\u2019ve come and we\u2019ve come as a team,\u201d Wellington said after the results were announced. \u201cAnd I could not have asked for a better partner than my sister.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wellington and Nelson made a strong run through the season. They won the sixth episode challenge, building a telescope. \u201cWe\u2019re the first all-Black team in the U.S. version of the show to win a challenge,\u201d Wellington said.<\/p>\n

And they came in second in the seventh episode, building a fashion-worthy handbag that could fit a pet.<\/p>\n

Wellington\u2019s family and the siblings\u2019 mother joined them on the competition show\u2019s finale, where their piece, \u201cChristmas Eve on a Cliff,\u201d inspired by family memories, was shown.<\/p>\n
