Stat. \u00a7 36.115(10) and will provide updates as the policy evolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose of Workgroup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 3, 2025, the Wisconsin State Legislature approved <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2025\/related\/acts\/15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025 Wisconsin Act 15<\/a>, which in <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/2025\/related\/acts\/15\/137\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 137 <\/a>created Wis. Stat. \u00a7 36.115(10). In response to this new statute, President Rothman formed and charged the Instructional Employee Teaching Workload Policies Workgroup to develop a draft Universities of Wisconsin Administration Instructional Employee Teaching Workload policy for presentation to the Board of Regents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Workgroup will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Draft revisions to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsin.edu\/regents\/policies\/teaching-workload-policy\/\">Regent Policy Document 20-25, <em>Teaching Workload Policy<\/em><\/a>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that appropriate legal review and analysis is provided throughout the process in compliance with relevant statutory and Regent authorities,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure close alignment with the UW-Madison internal process and policy based on their separate human resources authority, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage with identified shared governance and stakeholders to provide opportunities for consultation and\/or feedback.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-left is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fdcfc74e
