NASPA: Sustainability at Scale<\/a><\/h3>\"\"<\/a>

The Universities of Wisconsin was selected by NASPA to participate in Sustainability at Scale: A System-Level Approach to Understanding Advising Redesign<\/a>, a national research study focused on how higher education systems sustain and expand student success initiatives over time. The study will examine how large-scale advising and guided pathways reforms can be institutionalized to support student achievement. The four UW universities participating in the study are UW-Parkside, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Superior, and UW-Whitewater. The Universities of Wisconsin is one of only four state systems chosen to help identify best practices and develop resources that will inform student success efforts across the nation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>

Virtual Presentation<\/a><\/h3>\"Mykel<\/a>

In recognition of Global Advising Week, Mykel Beorchia, Director of the Office of Appreciative Education at Florida Atlantic University, lead a webinar on May 5, 2026, titled \u201cEmbracing the Pivot: Appreciative Advising Strategies for Humanizing Difficult Conversations<\/a>\u201d which focused on the use of the Appreciative Advising framework to help students navigate moments of decision when a pivot is required, such as academic probation or unmet program requirements. Grounded in student\u2011success research, the session highlighted strategies to humanize these challenging conversations and guide students toward meaningful next steps.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>

Navigate360 Workshop<\/a><\/h3>\"\"<\/a>

The 2026 Navigate360 Workshop took place this spring on April 14, 2026, at UW-Stevens Point and focused on effective strategies for maximizing the use of Navigate360 across the Universities of Wisconsin. Attendees can access materials from the workshop on the 2026 Workshop Materials website<\/a> using their UW credentials to login.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>
