George E. Smith

George E. Smith is Director of the Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, a position he assumed in 2010.
Smith joined the faculty at UW-Platteville in 1977 after serving as a faculty member at Northern Illinois University for four years. He left UW-Platteville in 1983, rejoining the faculty as Professor of Communication in 1985.
Smith holds a doctorate from Northern Illinois University (1978), as well as degrees in journalism and speech communication.
