My SoTL work is primarily focused on studying group learning in the classroom, especially how the group's communication contributes (or does not contribute) to learning. I am also involved as a SoTL faculty developer working with faculty from across the University of Wisconsin System (13 campuses) to plan and execute SoTL projects either individually or collaboratively. Currently I am working with faculty on SoTL projects involving threshold concepts, integrative learning, and international collaboration.
