How Does the Supplemental Sick Leave Credit Program Work?
In our earlier example (slide 6), the individual had 1900 hours of “regular” sick leave credit. Because the individual has 25 years of service, 1352 additional hours are credited (slide 9).
The total sick leave credit value is determined as follows:
Regular Sick Leave Hours 1900
Supplemental Sick Leave @ 25 years of service + 1352
Total Sick Leave Hours 3252
Hourly Rate of Pay x $34.48
Total Sick Leave Credit Value $112,128.96
