Edward S. Alschuler is currently a consultant to the UW System’s Office of General Counsel. Ed graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1971 with a B.A. degree in history, and in 1974 he received his law degree from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. Following law school he was in private practice in Madison, Wisconsin. From 1979 to 1992 he was General Counsel to the Wisconsin Board of Vocational, Technical and Adult Education (now known as the Wisconsin Technical College System Board). He began his employment in the UW System's Office of General Counsel in 1992, practicing in the areas of employment, risk management and liability, real estate and environmental law, and served as Deputy General Counsel from 2004 until his retirement in 2009.
