Approximately 90 students graduated from UW-Sheboygan last night.

"U. of Louisville dean recommended as UW-Parkside chancellor," Associated Press, May 22.

Robert Felner, dean of the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Louisville, has been recommended for UW-Parkside's top leadership position; the Board of Regents is expected to confirm his appointment at its June Board meeting.

Two assistant professors of English at UW-Marathon County signed a contract to write a "Critical Companion to J.K. Rowling," which will be used by educators and students who will study the author's work as literature.

Five new members were appointed Wednesday to the UW-Waukesha Foundation Board in a move to help the campus reach out to the community more effectively.

National

The Senate approved a war-funding bill that would expand the World War II-era GI Bill; the House must still approve it.
