A Med Flight helicopter from the UW Hospital and Clinics crashed into a bluff between La Crosse and Onalaska, killing the three crew members.

State

"Wisconsin lawmakers reach deal on $527 million budget shortfall," Associated Press, May 12.

State legislators have indicated that they reached an agreement to repair the $527 million budget shortfall.

"State treasurer embarks on college savings tour in northwestern Wisconsin," Dunn County News, May 10.

Wisconsin state treasurer Dawn Marie Sass is traveling around Wisconsin to encourage parents and students to start saving now for college.
