This article names the nine non-confidential applicants for UW-Madison's chancellor position; the search and screen committee has received fifty-five total applicants.

"Students launch plan for rooftop groceries," Capital Times, April 25.

After winning a $10,000 award in the Business School's Business Plan Competition, two UW-Madison students plan to launch Sky Vegetables, a company that will grow fresh fruit and vegetables atop supermarkets.

Thanks to a UW-Madison professor, the Los Angeles Community College District will be purchasing sustainable materials for their multi-million dollar remodeling project.

City and county leaders are planning to study a program in place at Kalamazoo, Michigan, which has the potential to pay college tuition for students graduating from the La Crosse School District.

Right now, some graduates may face a saturated job market, but that will most likely change as soon as the baby boomer generation begins to retire.

"State technical college grads fare well," Wisconsin Public Radio, April 14.

"Rockefeller gives Harvard $100 million," New York Times, April 25.

David Rockefeller donated $100 million towards international study and expansion of the arts program at Harvard University; it is the largest gift from a Harvard alumnus.

"Protect your patent portfolio," Inside Higher Ed, April 24.

Legislation passed by the House will improve the quality of patents, but the bill also includes several provisions that will make it harder for universities to attain patents.
