UW System Regent Emeritus Milton McPike passed away Saturday night; McPike served as the principal of Madison East High School for 23 years and as a regent for the UW System for nearly four years.

Hospitals are developing their own outreach programs to attract and retain their work force, with the hope of avoiding a predicted shortage of nurses.

UW-Madison students will vote on the Iraqi Student Project, a proposal to bring Iraqi refugees to study at the campus; however, the student vote carries only symbolic weight and does not have the authority to fund the project.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office released the most extensive report on the topic of student health insurance; the report found 20 percent of traditional students were uninsured and campus health plans varied dramatically.
