"UW plan would offer 4-year degrees at 2-year centers," Appleton Post-Crescent, Feb. 28.

Adults may soon be able to receive bachelor's degrees from the UW System's two-year colleges; the Board of Regents will discuss the proposal at its March meeting.

State legislators revealed characteristics they would like to see in the new UW-Madison chancellor.

The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation won a patent battle that contended that the initial UW-Madison embryonic stem cell discovery is patentable.

The UW-Stout police believe their e-mail notification system is effective after a test that resulted in 2,023 people responding.

An editorial discussing the politics involved in a recent bill proposed that would reallocate $664,800 for financial aid for UW-La Crosse.

The Wisconsin Alumni Association will honor 23 UW-Madison graduates with its Forward Under 40 awards.

"Program recognized," Eau Claire Spectator, Feb. 28.

The Corporation for National and Community Service recognized UW-Eau Claire for the school's community service program.

A report released by the State Higher Education Executive Officers reveals that state and local funds grew 3.6 percent in constant dollars over previous years.
