University Research Park and CUNA Mutual engaged in negotiations over the use of 60 acres of land previously belonging to the research park.

"Online journal outlet for UWSP students," Stevens Point Journal, Feb. 23.

UW-Steven Point has an online journal to encourage students from all four colleges to begin publishing their academic work.

"Clinic hosts Senate committee, touts innovations," Stevens Point Journal, Feb. 22.

The Marshfield Clinic is pursuing care innovations, including the potential to create an informatics masters degree at UW-Stevens Point to train individuals for work in the clinic's Biomedical Informatics Research Center.

"UW eyes raising money for need-based scholarships," Capital Times, Feb. 24.

UW-Madison Faculty Senate will vote on a resolution that would launch a new plan to raise funds for scholarships.

UW-Madison's biochemistry department is coordinating with the Youth Apprenticeship Program to provide high school students opportunities to explore different fields and research options even before coming to college.

A chemical spill in UW-Madison's Engineering Hall forced chemists to evacuate, but no one was injured and everyone returned safely to the building.

A team of scientists from the UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health discovered a gene expression pathway that influences the oxidation process.

"UW-O scores low in Equity Scorecard," UW-Oshkosh Advance Titan, Feb. 25.

UW-Oshkosh addresses the findings of the Equity Scorecard and looks forward to continued research in the upcoming campus climate survey.

"Region tops in nation for underage drinking," UW-Eau Claire Spectator, Feb. 25.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration shows Western Wisconsin has the highest rates in the nation.
