UW-Madison received 500 more applicants than this time last year.

"UWO student government endorses tuition fee raise for Sports Complex," Oshkosh Northwestern, Feb. 20.

The UW-Oshkosh Student Association agreed to add an additional $700,000 over the next three years to finance the completion of the Oshkosh Sports Complex.

"Whitewater connects to shooting," Whitewater Royal Purple, Feb. 20.

Two UW-Whitewater staff members have close connection to the Northern Illinois University shootings.

State

"Senate approves UW System staff unionization, Badger Herald," Feb. 20.

State Senators passed a bill that would allow UW System faculty and academic staff to form unions.

National

"Private donations to colleges increase for 4th consecutive year," Chronicle of Higher Education, Feb. 20.

American colleges and universities raised almost $29.8 billion in the 2007 fiscal year.
