UW-Stevens Point purchased more renewable energy than last year; now, the residence halls receive 40 percent of their energy from renewable sources.

UW-Stevens Point campus officials address what appears to be an isolated incident; student organization leaders, faculty and staff will continue to communicate on the issue.

UW-Madison students who lost almost everything to an apartment fire Saturday were able to borrow $5000 in funds to help cover the cost; the Student Crisis Loan Fund, which operates by donations from student organizations, was set up to assist students in emergency situations.

As college students express low interest in politics, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching published a report of strategies that college educators can use to increase awareness and involvement without advocating their personal views.

"Iowa tries new strategy to curb Thursday parties," Badger Herald, Nov. 14.

University of Iowa will pay departments $20 for each student who switches to a section on Friday, in an effort to decrease binge drinking on Thursday nights.
