State Budget

In an effort to end the impasse on the state budget -- now more than two months overdue -- one state Senator will introduce a measure to replace all members of the budget conference committee with new legislators.

On Campus

Increasing diversity on the UW-Madison campus will better prepare students for post-graduate success.

The UW-Green Bay community held a memorial service for a student who passed away in July.

UW-Madison officials said they seek to form partnerships with the families of the campus's students, and will continue to contact families of students whose alcohol consumption reaches dangerous levels.

The University of California-Berkeley will use the entirety of a recent $113 million gift -- the largest private gift in the institution's history -- to create endowed faculty positions in an effort to retain star faculty and staff; the UW System currently faces challenges in retaining its own top employees due to lack of competitive compensation.
