State Sen. Judy Robson makes a strong push for a budget that rewards the patience of Wisconsin's families, calling especially for a fully funded UW System, which she called the "engine that drives Wisconsin's economy."

UW System officials said thousands of students may not have enough money to attend classes -- which begin next week -- due to uncertainty over the level of funding for the Wisconsin Higher Education Grant.

"Hundreds gather in FdL for UW Colleges fall convocation," Fond du Lac Reporter, Aug. 31.

UW System Board of Regents President Mark Bradley spoke before about 600 UW Colleges faculty and staff, discussing the importance of a strong UW System for the future of Wisconsin's economy.
