UW-Stevens Point officials said they take the safety of faculty, staff and students very seriously, and responded appropriately to a threat on campus on Monday; ultimately, an "all-clear" was issued by campus officials, who determined the perceived threat was a misunderstanding.

UW-Madison was one of 19 campuses nationwide to receive a letter from Congress directing the institutions to curb potential copyright infringement occurring within campus Internet networks.
