Current student regent Christopher Semenas, whose two-year term will expire on May 1, said his replacement should demonstrate enthusiasm about higher education in Wisconsin.

"UW System needs to work with professors, not against them," Editorial, Advance Titan, March 15.

The UW System should work with the state government to increase faculty salaries so it can better retain star professors who have been leaving for other institutions that offer higher wages.
