Affirmative action is an important way to achieve racial diversity in Wisconsin and on UW campuses, where a mix of people from different backgrounds improves the learning environment for all students.

By improving academic equality in public schools, Wisconsin can produce the best and brightest students, and make affirmative action unnecessary at the college level.

On Campus

"Entrepreneurial grant open to non-business students," Wisconsin Public Radio, Dec. 20.

UW-Madison is one of a few universities across the nation to receive a $5 million grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to promote entrepreneurship among students.
