In response to an audit of the UW System's employment practices, System President Kevin Reilly said the university has made unprecedented reforms to personnel policies, and that attention should remain on the university's mission of serving Wisconsin.

Despite receiving criticism from some state legislators over their decision to formally oppose an upcoming Wisconsin ballot referendum on marriage, UW System officials stand by the move and say to do otherwise would harm the university.

A Texas woman raised $8,427, the amount the Ozaukee County Board cut from its UW-Extension budget to protest a UW-Madison hiring decision; the funds will be placed in a scholarship fund.
