UW-La Crosse Interim Chancellor Elizabeth Hitch stressed the benefits of a proposed program to use additional revenue to generate financial aid and grow student enrollment, notably the program's potential to graduate more four-year college degree-holders.

A project to build a residence hall at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County will continue despite a change in campus leadership; school officials expect to begin fund-raising for the project in Spring 2007.

UW-Madison housing officials say demand has declined for an all-female residence hall, prompting the campus to make the formerly single-gender Elizabeth Waters Hall open to males as well; the smaller Cole Hall, formerly co-ed, now serves as the school's all-female residence hall.
