The UW System has announced its decision to cancel a project that would have implemented new software to track employee payroll and benefits.

While UW-Madison officials are reviewing a lecturer's course materials after controversial statements made by the lecturer angered a state representative, others fear that preventing him from teaching because of political pressure could raise serious concerns about academic freedom.

Enrollment at UW-Rock County is up 16 percent from a year ago and seats in some classes are already filled to capacity.
"New chancellor envisions more bachelor's degrees at UWMC," Wausau Daily Herald, July 6.
Under a master plan being considered by David Wilson, the new chancellor of the UW Colleges and UW-Extension, UW-Marathon County would offer an increased number of Bachelor's Degrees.
