State
"Ethics Board considers guidelines on accepting UW tickets," Associated Press, June 21.
UW officials said the university would stop giving event tickets to elected officials until the state Ethics Board determines when it is appropriate to do so.
"Committee pledges to improve state purchasing," Associated Press, June 21.
The committee of state procurement representatives has been charged with studying ways to improve how state agencies buy goods and services.
National
"Lumina Foundation to offer millions of dollars to further ideas for reducing college costs," Chronicle of Higher Education, June 21.
Grants from the national foundation will seek to help colleges and universities reduce costs, increase access, improve affordability, and prepare to serve students in new ways.
