High school guidance counselors don't see a UW System admissions approach that would take more than grades and test scores into account when admitting prospective students as a major shift, but note that students might more carefully consider a rigorous course schedule.

"Wileys pack bags; Olin ready for rehab," Wisconsin State Journal, June 16.
Olin House, the 95-year-old UW-Madison Chancellor's residence, will undergo a complete renovation, financed by the UW Foundation; Chancellor John Wiley will move out of the residence into a condominium he purchased and will not accept a housing allowance.

Organizers of the Games, Learning and Society Conference, a conference sponsored by UW-Madison to study the practical usefulness of video games, said they hope to make Madison the city that studies broader issues of game design and game theory.
