Gov. Jim Doyle signed a bill to increase the maximum amount of state financial aid available to UW System, Wisconsin Technical College System and Tribal Colleges to $3,000.

Legislators voice concern and propose alternatives to the Taxpayer Protection Amendment, which would implement constitutional restrictions on state revenues and spending.
