UW-Madison officials said two campus financial workers identified in a recent audit of employees convicted of felonies have been reassigned because of some potential connection between their convictions and their jobs.

UW-Whitewater officials said former campus dean Lee Jones, who was recently demoted after he violated a school policy and, according to his lawyer, is prepared to file suit against the university, has only his own actions to blame for his demotion.

State

Governor Doyle said he would veto a bill to fund biomedical research if it prohibited embryonic stem-cell research.
National
"Court backs campus military recruiters," Associated Press, March 6.
In a unanimous ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that colleges and universities that accept federal funding must allow military recruiters on their campuses.
