UW-La Crosse officials said student votes to contribute $2.5 million toward the construction of a new campus stadium moved the UW-La Crosse Foundation to contribute $450,000 for the project.

University of Minnesota officials said if the state's governor and legislature want Minnesota to be a leader in biotechnology, it must invest heavily in the university to build new research facilities.
